For summer 2013, the Sorrento Foundation will organize by the rooms of Villa Fiorentino an exhibition of Salvador Dali, the Spanish surrealist artist famous for the holidays based on culture and art.
The Dalí Universe is an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to Salvador Dalí, where you will find more than 100 works like as: bronze sculptures, rare graphics, glass sculptures and objects in gold, home furnishings, all expressions of the great Dali, not only a famous painter and sculptor but also a well known draftsman and designer.
For a so important event it was decided to use the suggestive area of Villa Fiorentino but also some area in the city centre, where you can admire two monumental statues of the artist that will create an ideal itinerary along the beautiful city.

Raffaele Paganini starts his career in the ballet world when he was 14, at the Ballet School of Rome Opera Theatre and after four years he joins to the Corps de Ballet of this Theatre as soloist and then as étoile.

Later he becomes very popular in Italy thanks to numerous television appearances in great audience programs, such as Fantastico 2, Il cappello sulle ventitré, Al Paradise, and Europa Europa.

As étoile/guest, he dances with various companies such as London Festival Ballet, Ballet Theatre Francais de Nancy, Zurigo Opera, and Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Since 1988 he takes part every year to Canadian Stars Gran Gala. Since 2009 he's one of the judges of Rai 2 talent show "Italian Academy".

Since 2010 he becomes one of the teachers of the Musical Artime Academy, as ballet teacher.

In 2011 he took part, as contestant, to Rai 2 reality show "Survivors" and he was eliminated during the sixth episode.

This ballet star will be in Sorrento Marina Piccola, Teatro del Mare, on August, 10 at 9.00 p.m.

It’s starting in Sorrento the event “Greedy meetings for hairy friends”, gourmand dates offering the opportunity, during soirees of wine and food tasting in charming hotels, to spread the knowledge of City Dog Project, the association who manages the green areas for Naples dogs, and to support its activities.

It will begin July 31, Sunday, at 9.00 p.m., on Sorrento City Hotel roof garden, a hotel proud to be pet friendly. On the terrace, among the roofs, of this sophisticated boutique hotel, looking onto Sorrento main street, you will taste the cakes of Sal De Riso, combined to Masseria Parisi “La Zingarella”, passito wine of moscato grapes, offered by Di Leva wine shop in Gragnano and purposed by professional sommeliers of Sorrento Peninsula delegation of Sommeliers Italian Association, with the presence of Nicoletta Gargiulo, its president, the best Italian Sommelier in 2007.

The tickets (cost: 15€) can be bought in advance sale at Sorrento City Hotel (tel. number 081 8772210) and the proceeds of the soiree will be entirely devolved to City Dog Project Association (Associazione Progetto Cane Cittadino - IBAN PCC IT33M0101003443100000002592), who is working since a year to improve the relationship man-animal with a program of popularization, free consulting, school projects, courses for operators and it’s creating a web of supports to this mission. Starting from July, 31 it will be created the “Book of PCC friends”, where who joins to the project will be able to see published the most beautiful story of animalism he lived.

The Expert Pastry Cooks in Campania associated to AMPI, Neaples Pizzaioli Association, in collaboration with Molino Caputo, and AIS Campania enthusiastically accepted the invitation to make available their products and professionalism to support this project invented by the Association, which stands up for the requirement to create optimum conditions for a happy cohabitation among men and animals and advocates the realization of a urban web in which animals could live without constrictions with their tutors (if words create reality, abolished the term “owner”).

The soiree will be accompanied by Lello Notino, voice and by the most beautiful songs of international repertory.

Next date in Naples, in September, with Maestro Pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia, from Pizzeria la Notizia.

Giuliano Palma and the BlueBeaters will perform in August, 9 at Sorrento Marina Piccola. The band, leaded by the ex front man of Casino Royale, for a long time now re-proposes, thanks to swing and ska rhythm, some classic songs of Italian music.

A great opportunity for who wants to listen to the best of 60’s music staying a stone’ s throw from home, in the marvellous backdrop of Marina Grande at Sorrento.

Giuliano Palma and the BlueBeaters, a cover band who gave new strength to great successes of the past, is the Ska “maestro” in Italy.
